EnergyVision nominated for the Changemakers Awards
EnergyVision is one of the thirty nominees for the Changemakers Awards, the sustainability competition organized by De Tijd and L’Echo. For the second year in a row, the two business newspapers are looking for Belgian companies that truly make a difference in the fight against climate change.
Imagine... A world where energy works effortlessly for you. You charge your car at work, return home, and use the battery to cook dinner, power your appliances, or heat your home with a heat pump powered by green energy. All of this while enjoying the most affordable, locally generated electricity. This is not just a vision; it's becoming a reality for 80,000 EnergyVision customers.
We will scale this to 200,000 households and later to one million. This future is free from foreign gas and volatile energy markets. It is a transition that does not require significant investments or complex adjustments from households. Our mission is clear: to make the sustainable energy transition accessible to everyone.
People as the Highest Good
That is why we are competing for the Changemaker title. The jury looks not only at environmentally friendly initiatives but also at the social impact of the candidates. Sustainability is not just about climate-friendly technology; it’s also about employees, local communities, and inclusivity. It’s about people, who are the reason for our existence and for whom we do everything.
Changemaker and Audience Award
150 Belgian companies submitted their candidacy. The Changemakers jury selected 30 finalists, including EnergyVision. The energy company is also in the running for the Audience Award.
"Being nominated is already a great honor, but we dream of more. Not for ourselves, but to further realize our green dream. For a better world, for you..." – Maarten Michielssens, CEO of EnergyVision
Voting is still open via the following link until March 25. The jury will then announce the two winners, a scale-up and an established company.
