Test-Aankoop/Test-Achats investigates EnergyHome formula: good deal!

02.06.2023

Free solar panels, is that even possible? And paying for locally consumed electricity, is that interesting? Test-Aankoop/Test-Achats investigated our EnergyHome formula and guess what? Consumers save a significant amount on their energy bills, and it takes up to 20 years before buying solar panels yourself is more advantageous than getting free solar panels from EnergyHome.

Test-Aankoop/Test-Achats also provides some comments on our contractual terms, which we fully take to heart!

With EnergyHome, we offer our customers 100% free solar panels, making our formula unique in Belgium. There are no installation, placement or rental costs and customers don't pay anything for maintenance either. We only charge a fee for the green power that customers generate and immediately consume. With a fixed rate of €0.20/kWh, this is very beneficial, as it is 30 to even 60% lower than the average energy rate in the country.

Test-Aankoop/Test-Achats did the maths and confirms that our offer saves costs on energy bills.

Guaranteed savings with EnergyHome

According to Test-Aankoop/Test-Achats's calculation, customers save an average of €255 on their energy bill on an annual basis with our EnergyHome formula. Knowing that customers don't have to pay for the investment themselves, that's a double win. Moreover, self-investment turns out to be interesting only after 20 years, so with EnergyHome you are definitely in the right place when it comes to energy savings!

Contractual terms under the microscope

Consumer protection is sacred to Test-Aankoop/Test-Achats. The investigators went through our contract with a magnifying glass (we knew nothing, a consumer must have provided them with our contract) and had some observations, especially on clauses about early termination.

We will look at this in detail and are committed to doing everything we can to make the contract as balanced and consumer-friendly as possible. That is why we are reaching out to Test-Aankoop/Test-Achats and engaging with them to further refine our contractual conditions. That way, we can make our free formula even more carefree for all our customers and include as many people as possible into the energy transition.
