Royal launch of Brusol

17.09.2020

BRUSSELS – Yesterday, Brusol, a new energy supplier in the Brussels-Capital Region, saw its spectacular launch. None other than Belgium’s King Philippe officially marked the start, with coronavirus measures in place, of our operations as a 100% green, 100% local energy supplier.

Yesterday’s launch in the majestic Gare Maritime celebrated the fact that Brusol is the country’s very first provider of 100% green and 100% local energy, produced on the rooftops of Brussels homes, serving households across the city (including those living under these roofs!). Our energy does not come from abroad, or from offshore wind farms. Instead, it is generated on the roofs of offices and homes in the Capital Region by installations built by Brusol. The launch was led by the Mayor of Brussels, Philippe Close, and attended by the CEOs of Sibelga, Brugel, Brussels Finance & Invest, BNP Paribas Fortis, and Triodos, among other guests.

The King inspected our solar panel installation on the Gare Maritime and took the time to meet our Brusol teams and the refugees-turned-installers working for us. He ended his visit at the food truck that’s been touring the Capital Region all summer!

Below are some photos of the King's visit.
