EnergyVision wins iChoosr group purchase and passes the 100,000-customer milestone

08.05.2025

Energy company EnergyVision, headquartered in Ghent, has just won the group purchase to supply 100% green energy. More than 90,000 people have signed up. According to organiser iChoosr, they will receive a concrete offer by the end of this month. “We expect our offer to result in around 35,000 new connection points,” says Maarten Michielssens, CEO of EnergyVision. “That means that one year after our launch as an energy supplier, we will surpass the milestone of 100,000 connection points – four times more than our initial target of 25,000.”

iChoosr is organising this group purchase together with Samensterker, KBC, and the Province of East Flanders, which is now investing for the 13th time in 100% Belgian green energy. The goal: to help the province become climate-neutral by 2040.
But a group purchase like this not only promotes more sustainable energy consumption — it also means serious savings for many households. In total, more than 215,000 families have participated in previous editions, saving on average €200 a year on their energy bill.

This edition is once again a great success. We’ve received 90,000 registrations, and we expect even more to come. EnergyVision's offer came out on top for the variable contract. By May 23, all participants will receive a tailored proposal. They’ll then have one month to accept their personal offer. If they do, we’ll ensure a smooth switch to the new supplier,” says Frédéric Dumalin, Country Manager of iChoosr.

Passing the 100,000-connection milestone

The awarded group purchase marks another big milestone for the fast-growing EnergyVision. Just over a year ago, the Belgian company launched the market’s most affordable energy contract under the name “Goedkope Stroom” — offering ten years of solar energy at a fixed, affordable price, with free solar panel installation. Since then, EnergyVision has expanded its offering, and already 73,208 connection points are benefiting from a low-cost energy contract.

We expect this campaign to bring in around 35,000 new connections. That means we’ll confidently exceed the 100,000 mark,” says Maarten Michielssens. “This is a unique opportunity to show thousands more Flemish families that green energy doesn’t have to be expensive — and that the shift to renewable energy can actually be easy.
