EnergyVision launches new formula with 1,800 kWh fixed, offering 10 years of price certainty

05.12.2025

GHENT, 5 December 2025 – EnergyVision is expanding its product range with a new fixed–variable tariff: “Goedkope stroom met 1.800 kWh vast”. This new tariff builds on their well-known classic 1.000 kWh vast, but gives customers extra security, more green power and a larger volume at a fixed rate. The price is 10.60 euro cents per kWh and is fixed for ten years, with no possible price changes. The formula was developed after a large-scale survey of tens of thousands of customers, which showed a clear demand for more fixed kilowatt-hours and long-term price certainty.

With the new formula, customers receive a mix of solar and wind energy at a fixed price of 10.60 euro cents per kWh. Although this fixed rate is slightly higher than in the basic 1.000 kWh vast formula, customers receive a significantly higher number of kilowatt-hours at a guaranteed fixed price in return. They also get long-term certainty: the fixed-term contract offers 10 years of security from EnergyVision, while customers remain free to leave at any time without cost. Goedkope stroom met 1.800 kWh vast is available exclusively in Flanders and can easily be combined with a natural gas contract. The feed-in compensation is variable, but never falls below 1 euro cent per kWh.

The new tariff formula follows a large-scale survey of tens of thousands of customers. “Our survey showed that consumers mainly want a product that offers long-term certainty without complexity,” says Maarten Michielssens, CEO of EnergyVision. “With this new formula, that is exactly what we offer: a fixed-term contract that does not change for ten years, with no fine print, no exception profiles and fully based on a linear standard consumption profile. This gives clarity and peace of mind to families who want to know where they stand for the coming years.”

“Customers explicitly asked for more fixed kilowatt-hours at a stable rate,” Michielssens continues. “By strengthening our own production capacity, with the recent addition of wind turbines, we can now genuinely meet that demand. It is a simple and fair product that fully reflects what our customers told us they wanted.”

Large-scale green energy production guarantees stable fixed rates

The new energy formula provides 100% green electricity, produced from EnergyVision’s own generation assets. Thanks to the solar installations built across the country in recent years, EnergyVision can guarantee an increasingly large base volume at a fixed price. The company has also recently purchased several wind turbines. This adds extra, predictable green power production, enabling EnergyVision to offer these stable, long-term fixed rates to families in Flanders.

The energy market is evolving rapidly, but EnergyVision deliberately opts for transparency and predictability. “We keep innovating, but always with simplicity and customer focus as our starting point,” Michielssens concludes.
