EnergyVision (Brusol) installs 492 public charging points in Brussels

09.02.2022

The Brussels Region and Sibelga have just announced that EnergyVision (under the Brusol flag) won the tender for all public charging stations to be installed in the Region in 2022. We will not only install these charging stations but also operate them for 10 years. The first charging points will already be installed next month. This year, 492 charging points are planned within this programme. That is double the total number of publicly available charging points in the entire region. All users of electric cars will be able to charge at these points, without any special passes or applications. The price is set at 0.24 EUR/kWh, which is 25-50% cheaper than charging at home.

"Every person living in Brussels should soon have a public charging station at a maximum distance of 250m from his or her home," says Alain Maron, Brussels Minister of Energy. "In addition, EnergyVision and Brusol, together with Sibelga, will also provide charging infrastructure for car-sharing, as well as introducing an innovation into the market, by incorporating charging infrastructure into public street lighting."
