A 2MWp solar pv installation generating approximately 1870MWh per year was installed on the roof of one of BaoSteel’s factories close to Shanghai.

The 2MWp roof-mounted solar pv installation has a projected 25-year lifetime.

Company Description

BaoSteel has an annual output of around 40million tons of steel, ranking the company the fourth largest steel producer in the world. The state-owned iron and steel company is headquartered in Shanghai and has plants all over China.

Project Results

Upon completion and operation, the system saves around 1800 metric tons of CO₂ emissions and approximately 700 tons of coal annually.
